Ученици от Х клас се включиха отново в тазгодишното международно състезание за есе и имаха възможност  да споделят своите идеи на тема " Как младите хора могат да бъдат по-добре подкрепени, за да процъфтяват в сферата на зелената икономика"  и да са конкурентноспособни. Участниците в конкурса са от 62 страни. Общият брой училища е 227. Всички 1215 есета са оценени, а училището ни има две грамоти. Повечето ученици са споделили следните ключови идеи:

- По-детайлно екологично образование в училищата;

- Работилници за зелени умения;

- Финансова подкрепа от правителствата и индустрията;

- По-добра публичност на зелените работни места с помощта на социалните медии;

- Стажове и стипендии;

- Събития за реализация;

= Културна преоценка на това какво е "добра работа", включваща зелени кариери;

- Насърчение от семейството, учителите и обществото да работят заедно и да популяризират " зелените" възможности.

Призови места в международно състезание за есе на английски език- Климатична справедливост 2022

 Поздравления за Мартина Железарова от Ха клас и Виктория Минчева от ХI а клас, които са избрани да представят България на тазгодишните международни дебати, организирани от TSL. Поради големия брой участници дебатите за средните училища ще са на 12 юли 2022 г. Подборът беше направен въз основа на изключителното представяне на нашите ученици в конкурса за есе на тема: "Как справянето с неравенството би помогнало за борбата с климатичната криза?", 2022. Виктория и Мартина успяха да спечелят журито със своите идеи и техните есета са номинирани с почетно звание. Общият брой на регистрираните есета е 1122 от 59 страни по света.Дебатите дават възможност на учениците да практикуват уменията си за работа в екип, комуникация на чужд език и сътрудничество и да се срещнат с други ученици от цял свят и да обсъдят глобалните предизвикателства.

Дебатите за училищата в TSL са чудесна възможност да се учим и да растем с деца, учители и лидери за устойчивост в цял ​​свят.

Организаторите се опитват да подкрепят възможно най-широкото участие на училищата във всяка страна на планетата.

Училищата са горещо поканени да влязат в духа на партньорство и да организират свой собствен дебат за страната с други участващи училища.

Партньорската среща на върха включва редица вълнуващи семинари и вдъхновяващи пленарни сесии, предназначени да помогнат за информиране и овластяване на ученици, родители и учители в споделено пътуване към по-устойчив свят.

TSL 2021

PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY

Congratulations to Victoria Mincheva ! She is among the distinguished students in this year's TSL 2021 International Essay Competition - PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY, secondary level.

During this challenging year for schools, teachers and students, Victoria's essay was awarded. 213 schools from 59 countries around the world took part in the international competition with a record number of essays - 1350. Victoria shared her ideas on how to help protect the Earth's valuable biodiversity. She expressed her firm belief that the young generation is well prepared and can cope with the challenge and the unbearable burden, BUT action must be taken immediately.

"... All the burden from previous generations has been put on our shoulders, but I am sure we can do it.

It's just us that can stop this.

It all depends on us.

We can do it! "

Congratulations to Victoria and all our students who had the courage to share their ideas on the topic and compete with peers from around the world!

Нелиана Вълчева за трети път е отличена с есето си на международно ниво.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world", Nelson Mandela.

My name is Neliana and I am a future educator. As such, I intend to be outstanding - I will introduce my students to a variety of skills, diverse cultures and extraordinary perspectives of life. My lifelong goal is to pass on the spirit of SDG #4 to everyone I teach by encouraging them to become informed members of our society.

In my opinion, quality education flourishes according to three main principles. The first principle is a school environment which provides support, understanding and wide range of opportunities. The second one depicts a well- mantained relationship between students themselves, teachers themselves; between teachers, students and parents, and between school and family. Building trust and reliability in the community contributes in higher academic performance during the learning process. Having a strong conection at school is in the heart of the third and last pronciple - connectedness. It constructs a bridge to sustainability and inclusion. It opens many doors for partnerships with schools that have common strategic approaches. Although the impact of connectedness is widely recognised as vital, effectively promoting it around schools is an uneasy task. It requires responsibility, cooperation and long term commitment. The first step is to develop a plan which describes the role of each 'puzzle piece' from the community. It is of great importance to enable a positive learning environment with less criticism and more acceptance. Thus, students will feel free to discover their talents and share their ideas without fear of rejection. Ensuring more frequent parent -teacher conferences will help parents track their child's progress and have open discussions with educators. Team buildings are a good way to strenghten the bond among school staff. They also give chances for international practice exchanges and achieving a global level of connectedness.

Connected schools have the tendency to deal with the problems of our educational system easier. They find effective ways to tackle challenges like functional illiteracy, stress, dropping out and malpractice. Unified schools focus on individuality, independence, creativity and critical thinking. They do their best to ensure quality education by continuously implying various methods and innovative techniques.

And they succeed because their efforts to make a difference are enormous.

The reason I stand for SDG#4 and promote connced schools as keys to sustainable future is because their communities are full of people who don't neglect their work and strive for improvent together. We need more people who care about the future of education because this is the future of our world.
